Definition: WK1 (resistance class 1)Occasional burglars try to force open the window or door by using physical violence such as kicking in, shoulder throw or pulling. In doing so the perpetrator is not using any auxiliary tools. WK1 elements provide basic protection against break-in attempts and should only be used where there is no direct access to the building.
Definition: WK2 (resistance class 2)
Occasional burglars try to force open the window or door by using simple tools such as screwdrivers, pliers or wedges in addition to physical violence. WK2 elements provide for the most part sufficient protection against break-in attempts in private homes and should therefore be used for all directly accessible places in the house.
